Our Mission
Tethys Research LLC was organized to apply its deep expertise in a unique combination of disparate disciplines to problems that are not amenable to high-throughput screening methodologies in order to discover new, high value enzymes and chemical entities. Within its chosen markets, Tethys serves as a leading edge discovery company; developing technology and utilizing it under contract to or in partnership with other organizations that produce and market chemical products and processes.

Our History
Tethys Research LLC was initially formed in late 2000 by Dr. Nancy Kravit and Ms. Robyn Kravit to focus on a novel strategy for biotransformation. In its early years, Tethys worked on projects to discover new chemical entities in the life sciences and bioremediation industries. In late 2004, a research request led the company to change its focus to the discovery of industrial enzymes with a specialization in the pulp and paper sector. During this period, three minority partners joined the firm, bringing additional technical and commercial expertise.
